Diana S, Amodia, M.D., is Dual Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine and she has a practice as an Integrative Medicine Physician with the Institute of Health and Healing at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She is the former Medical Director of the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics Substance Abuse Treatment Services and the former Medical Director of the State of California's Alcohol and Drug Program. She has lectured locally and internationally on addiction medicine, co-occurring disorders, pain management and the need for an integral approach to the treatment of these conditions. Dr. Amodia has over 15 years of experience in community treatment setting and overseeing the care of medically indigent, homeless, HIV+, substance abusers. She specializes in the development of integrative programs. And also has developed an international teaching program on assessing addictive disorders and tissue dependent clients for medical interns.
Carol Cano , B.A., CMT, is a certified Eastern Practitioner in Shiatsu and Traditional Thai Medical Massage. She currently has a practice with the Institute for Health and Healing at California Pacific Medical Center. She is a Substance Abuse Counselor and Health Educator in the areas of HIV/AIDS, Mental Health and Substance Use. She has worked with several HIV/AIDS, Drug Treatment and Mental Health Programs. She has facilitated various groups in loss, grief, self-healing and substance use. She specializes in integrative care with co-occurring disorders in the Native American population. Her community participation has branched out to the Dharma community where she has served on the Diversity Council for six years with Spirit Rock Meditation Center. She has trained with Angeles Arrien for over six years and has been trained in the way of the Council by the Ojai Foundation.
